Couldn't let summer slip by without another HUGE hike. This one involved going to the top of a summit! Yes, it was Bear Butte this time with some Eddie Bauer co-workers, Eddie Bauer Team Rushmore Get Outside event. You'd think after hiking to the top of this one, we would have been done for the day. No, we decided to do just one more and hiked to Devil's Bathtub in Spearfish Canyon. It was the first time any of us had attempted to summit Bear Butte. Mark and I have always driven by this area back and forth to Minot in the past, so this was fun to finally climb it. Photos attached of both hikes.

Summer is coming to an end even though we still enjoy nice hot summer days. But the "talk" of kids going back to school next week is all around us. It's been a great summer with some unexpected events as well. Looking forward with anticipation to the Fall because a "big event" is drawing near, our last daughter Kayla's wedding in October! Here's a few pictures of what the rest of our summer entailed. We had to say goodbye to two things: 1) Mark's Neon that became family to Kayla and Kevin; 2) our 15 yr old dog Mitsy who passed and went on to a better place. Kayla's bridal shower has already taken place in MN, we visited at Bjorn and Alissa's seeing our wonder grandson Leif who will turn 2 yrs old on Kayla's wedding weekend. Two huge events are coming up for the Lundgren family: Next big event IS Kayla and Kevin's wedding so we are finalizing gearing up for that. Can't wait to see everyone at the wedding! December will bring more exciting news, our 2nd grandchild to Alissa and Bjorn Hanson!

Wow, summer is flying by fast. Better get to the updates: we've had Alissa/Bjorn/Leif Hanson here, Julie, Madison, McKenzie Munday from Minot, Kayla and Kevin so far. Leif has grown so much and talks a streak. He's so wonderful. Also there was Hills Alive bands like DownHere and Newsboys that Kayla/Kevin/Mark went to. I, unfortunately, looked forward to the concerts all summer but couldn't go with everyone as had a migraine. Will have to wait til next year. Kayla took cool pics of Art Alley in Downtown Rapid City as well. Check out the new photos!
